Four Miniatures

Henry Purcell (1659-1695) was an English composer who is considered one of the greatest composers of the Baroque period and one of the most significant figures in English classical music. He was born in London and showed prodigious musical talent from a young age. Purcell’s music encompasses a wide range of genres, including sacred choral music, opera, instrumental music, and songs. Purcell’s contributions to English music are vast and diverse.
