The movements and their respective durations are Obsessive Crimson (2’28”), Deep Purple (2’52”), Flippant Yellow (2’35”), Cobalt Aglow (2’49”), and Funky Orange (3’02”). Color’tudes was composed for bass clarinetist Dr. Karl Kolbeck. He and Dr. Angela Miller-Niles premiered it on April 23, 2021.
